WHY RELIGION WILL ALWAYS WIN

I know all the atrocities associated with religion, we all see them every day.

But the very reason why religion can't be defeated is HOPE.

Yes, that four letter word which religion markets means everything in a world full of problems.

People want to believe that their setbacks won't last forever - religion gives them that.

People want to believe that their heart desires will materialize - religion gives them that.

People want to believe that those who do them wrong will pay for their real or perceived crimes - religion also gives them that.

People also want to believe that they are better than others because they engage in a particular thing - religion gives them that.

It’s all about psychology and until something else can provide all of these psychological yearnings of people, religion will always take the centre stage.

Let’s not reduce religion to Christianity, Islam, Judaism etc, even that money we wake up every day thinking of and do everything cause of it, is a religion too.

To say that the West is losing its religiosity is not entirely true.

Haven't you noticed that those Western and Asian countries that engage less in organized religion are money focused?

Before the advent of the three Abrahamic religions, there were other religions. Some of them like Hinduism still exist today.

Muddling up religious woes as the fault of the existing religions is losing touch of the real reason why religion exists and why it’s powerful.

It’s all about the human mind.

People will always be people; take away A from them, they will find solace in B.

To stop them from jumping from pole to pole, those needs of theirs must be satisfied for it to work.

When I said religion will always win, I was not thinking of Jesus or Muhammad; end those two religions and watch as others will rise to replace them.

Throughout ages, thousands of religions have been created by man; Christianity and Islam are only popular because their proponents went on a colonization spree for centuries, that doesn't mean they are the only things that have kept man mentally hooked.

They are basically kids when compared to other ancient religions.

Christianity is less than 2000 years old; the ancient Egyptian religion lasted for 3600 years.

It’s not about religion it’s about man's need.

You can get rid of them but others will rise in their stead.
